A fine Gothic Revival extending walnut and brass book slide, c.1860.
Burr walnut veneer. Ebonised moulded edges. The folding ends boast an intricate brass design with flowers surrounding a central cross. All elements operate as they should. Original felt remains to the base.
An attractive example.
