A George II triple top games and tea table, c.1750.

The table is of extremely attractive form and dimension, allowing it to be tucked away as a side table or be centre stage as a tea or games table.

The rectangular top with projecting corners opens twice to reveal a polished surface and a felt-lined playing surface with counter wells. The apron has a central felt-lined drawer (with later handle); the whole raised upon cabriole legs terminating in pad feet.

A piece of timber has been historically replaced which is visible to the back of the table when closed and to the centre of the tea table when the first leaf is opened. The concertina hinge is in perfect working order with a smooth action.
