An early 20th century plaster bust of an infant, mounted upon a giltwood plinth. Illegible stamp verso.
The bust has an intriguing wistful expression with delicate features. The whole sits upon a wooden plinth with gilt borders and foliate detail with an ebonised centre section. The bust and plinth can be separated. The bust has a 'rattle' within it - possibly a weight which has become loose.
A very decorative piece.
